With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phillip Simms of Nelsonville, Ohio, who passed away on August 2, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Simms and Alice Simonton Simms; and his siblings, Henry, Joseph, Kenny Simms and Joan Jackson (Don).
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Bailey Simms; his children, Phillip K. Simms II (Cindy L. Mender) of Nelsonville, Christopher A. Simms (Sally Dailey) of Nelsonville and Stacey L. Sawyers (Robert) of Nelsonville; and his siblings, Danny Simms, Terry Simms, Wanda Dodd, Janet Simms and Lorna Barber. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
