He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosetta "Boodge" Hill and Jesse William "Bill" Hill, Jr.; and his father-in-law Paul "Dutch" McGreevy. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne McGreevy Hill; his children, Maggie (Zach Odenthal), Sarah (Scott Steenrod), Emily (Andy Dodd) and Jesse (Geoffrey Hill); his grandchildren, Will, Abbie, Lucy, Sylvie, Simon, Mara and Leo; his brothers, Tom Hill (Mary Ann) of Somerset, Tim Hill (Terri) and Todd Hill (Kim) of New Lexington; and his mother-in-law Mary Anne McGreevy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the Hill family suggests donations in memory of Dr. Jesse William "Bill" Hill, III be made to the Nelsonville High School Alumni Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 472, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764.
