He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion "Pete" and Evelyn Stufflebean Simonton; his son George Howie Simonton; and his brother Marion "Picky" Simonton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Westerviller Simonton; his children, Laurie Holley (Carl) of Nelsonville, Cynthia "Cindy" Cox (John) of Grove City and Peter Simonton of Nelsonville; his grandchildren, Megan Holley (Dylan) of Nelsonville, Abby Holley of Nelsonville, Brandon Young (Sarah) of Nelsonville, Bradley Young of Nelsonville, Ethan Cox of Grove City, Curtis Cox of Grove City, Sarah Joy Cox of Grove City, Kristopher Young (Cassie) of Nelsonville, Kimberly Young of Nelsonville, Hunter Simonton of Bremen, Hastings Simonton of Nelsonville and Ciera Bitler of Nelsonville; his great grandchildren, Alli, Xavier, Dale, Alexha, Zach and Daniel; and his siblings, Larry Simonton of Nelsonville, Leatha Guess of Logan and Virginia Tedrow of London, Ohio..
