He was predeceased by: his parents, Norma Maffin Clemons and Donald L. Platt; and his siblings, Tammy Sheets, Lewis "Duke" Maffin and Josephine Maffin.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Platt Jr. (Tiffany) of Nelsonville, Beth Perry of Nelsonville, Amy Perry of Nelsonville and Stephanie Conner; his grandchildren, Mason Platt, Landon Platt, Joseph Clark, Michala Clark and Cauley Trout; his great grandchildren, Lylia Clark and Liliana Boniphant; his sister Debra Kasler (Tim) of Nelsonville; and his close friend Becky Shipley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
