He was predeceased by: his brother Dewayne Tackett; his grandparents, Joseph Simms and Mary Edan Simms; his great-grandparent Eileen Peevler; and his aunts, Teresa Holland and Mary Jo Matthews Simms.
He is survived by: his parents, Karen S. Phelps Simms and Douglas M. Simms; his brother Richard Simms; his close friend Jenna Johnson; and his grandparents, Richard Seymour, Dave and Carol Phelps. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
