He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Boney and Bernita Stage Boney; and his brother Joel Boney. He is survived by: his sons, Todd Boney (Janey) of Nelsonville and Erik Boney of New York; his grandchildren, Corbin Boney of Nelsonville and Jessica Mick of Marietta; his brother Ed Boney (Sue) of Columbus; and his sister-in-law Gloria Boney of Colorado. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
