He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Saffol and Mabel Conant Saffol; his sisters, Lurene Castle, Loretta Hanna and Dorothy O'Brien (Gina); and his son-in-law Gene McCellan.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Evener Saffol; his children, Ruth Ann Saffol McClellan of Rittman and Richard Saffol (Stephen Sekac) of Savannah; and his grandchildren, Kathy Romano (Geoff) of Lancaster, Thomas McClellan (Daniele) and Kenny McClellan. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
