He was predeceased by: his parents, Ashford P. Hewitt and Dora Andrews Hewitt; his spouse Wavelene Dupler Hewitt; and his siblings, Harry, Gerald Hewitt, Hazel Parker and Ruth Halby.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Hewitt (Mary) of The Plains, Tom Hewitt (Venis) of Beavercreek and Debra Horowitz (Bob) of Orlando, Florida; his grandchildren, Derrick Hewitt (Ashley) of Coolville, Shawn, Christopher, Phillip Hewitt of The Plains, Bethany Lackey (Brandon) of Guysville, Josh Horowitz (Carin) of Florida and Aaron Horowitz of Florida; his great grandchildren, Caden, Chloe Hewitt, Gavin Lance, Holden and Hanna Hewitt; and his nieces and nephews, Sandy Shultz, Bob (Sandy Hewitt), Carol Hewitt Wells (Sherri VanMeter) and Dave Halby (Joe Halby).
The family regrets not being able to have a public service due to COVID concerns.
