He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnell Howell and Betty Cutlip Howell; and his brothers, Larry and Perry Howell. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Waide Howell; his children, Forrest B. Howell (Elizabeth), Terry Howell (Tina), Rob McLain (Ben), Marcus McLain and Marcie Mauro (Dan); his grandchildren, Maria, Steven, Dean, Chris, Kayla, Nichole, Even, Marcus Jr., Megan and William Payton; and his siblings, Shirley Johnson (Chuck), Jeannie Howell and Douglas Howell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
