He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Richey; and his sister Kathy Patterson. He is survived by: his children, Brian Richey (Rebecca), Keith Richey, Kim Richey and Andrea Morgan (Bruce); his stepchildren, Robert Beck (Laura) and Lisa Davis; and his siblings, Carol and Joseph "Bud". He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandson.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Canton Seventh-day Adventist Church.
