He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson and Katherine Emerick (Rouse); his children, Jeff Emerick and Katherine; and his siblings, Gene Emerick, Martha Netzley, Joan Burrier and Elaine Pierce.
He is survived by: his son Virgil Emerick (Sharon) of Massillon; and his daughter-in-law Beth Emerick of Massillon. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
