She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis "Red" Dennis and Rowena Dennis (Lucas); her husband Damon L. Massie; her son Steven L. Massie; and her sisters, Faye Turner, Gladys Brown, Julia Worman and Margaret Gooden.

She is survived by: her children, Ramon M. Massie and Rebecca Whitmer of Navarre; and her grandsons, David L. Massie (Amy) of Wadsworth and Travis S. Massie (Nataly) of Canton.
