He was predeceased by: his father Ober Charters; and his brother Larry Smith. He is survived by: his mother Nettie Henderson; his children, Hauns Charters (Veronica), Shaun Charters (Chrissy), Hannah Charters (The Favorite Child) and Sarah Donahue (Tom); his grandchildren, Victoria, Adeline, Wade, Braxton, Evan and Grant; and his siblings, Constance Long (William), Jim Henderson (Pansy) and Robert Henderson (Beth).
