She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight A. Whitmer and Mary A. Whitmer (Smith); her husband Miles T. Hay, Jr.; her daughter Nada Hay McAfee; and her brothers, Ray, Lloyd and Stanley Whitmer.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Goudy (Jon) of Millersburg and Michael Thomas "Tom" Hay of North Canton; her grandchildren, Kelly Hebert (Andy), Ryan McAfee (Heidi), Kimberly Bookmeyer (John), Michael Hay (Kimberly), Jessica Puperi (Joe), Steven Goudy (Lydia), Laura Taliesin and Eric Goudy (Suzanne); her son-in-law Bob McAfee; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Whitmer and Joyce Whitmer. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be conducted following a truly fitting celebration of her life once the current Covid conditions have abated.
