He was predeceased by: his son Harold; his wife Janice M. Bentzel (Slusser); and his brothers, Gerald, Ronald (Louise) and George Bentzel (Patricia).
He is survived by: his daughter Anne Bentzel of Navarre; and his sister-in-law Irene Bentzel of Phoenix, Arizona. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
