He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Samsa (Gertrude) and Eveett Shaffer (Buck); and his son Christopher. He is survived by: his children, Todd Samsa (Jackie) of North Carolina, Mark Samsa (Denise) of Rittman, Jon Samsa (Bambi) of Massillon, Sabrina Hattery (Randy) of Massillon and Sara Cotsamire (Denny Benjamin) of Navarre. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and three sisters.
