He was predeceased by: his parent Vincent William; and his brother Kenneth Airhart. He is survived by: his parent Florence Ethel Neal Airhart; his children, Vicki Offenberger (Roger) of Strasburg, Charles Airhart (Karen) of Strasburg, Michele Randolph (Roy) of Strasburg, Robyn Michaels of Bolivar and Michael Airhart of Cincinnati; his grandchildren, Crissy Brady, Bart Randolph (Heather), Nicollette Airhart, Nathan Randolph, Kris Reed and Claudia Airhart; his great grandchildren, Jordan, Damien, Natalie Brady, Adian Holland and Aria Holland; and his sister Dixie Witter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Since receiving his transplant Chuck has been an advocate for organ donation.
