He was predeceased by: his father Walter Lawrence McAlpine; his sons, Gregory McAlpine and John McAlpine; his great grandchild Kyra Lesko; and his brothers, Robert Snider and Terry McAlpine.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta "Bobbie" McAlpine (Lucas); his children, Christopher McAlpine, Scott McAlpine (Widi), Jennifer Fabiny, Patricia Herlensky (Dan) and Nicole McAlpine; his stepsons, Dan Lesko (Leanne) and Don Lesko (Tracie); his grandchildren, Brittany (Kyle), Justin, Jake (Kealey), Danielle (Brice), Chandler, Emilee, Erin, Caleb, Cassidy, Shea, Owen, Wyatt and Isabella; his great grandchildren, Carsyn Anne, Penelope, Easton, Rhett and Charlotte; and his sister Sandy Noonan.
