He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Shawger and June Shawger (Collopy); his stepfather Jim Fountain; his parents-in-law, Herb and Betty Durant; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Shawger and Jim Arnold; his nephew Aaron Baltzer; and his niece Langdon Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Mindy Blankenbecker (Mark), Scott Shawger and Brad Shawger (Bethany); his grandchildren, Marleigh, Maddie Short, Jimi and Connor Coveney; his siblings, Jeff Shawger (Diana), Susan Baltzer, Nancy Arnold, John Shawger (Bonnie), Mike Shawger (Kelly), Tom Shawger (Tara) and Molly Haslam (Bob); his brothers-in-law, Mike Durant (Vanessa), Mark Soter (Ivy), Matt Durant (Jenny) and Martin Durant; and his close friends, Phil, Rhonda and Cheryl.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in Jim's memory.
