With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilbur Carl Lanzer of Napoleon, Ohio, born in Malinta, Ohio, who passed away on July 25, 2023 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wilbur Carl Lanzer to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lanzer and Laura Lanzer (Fetter); his son Steven; his son-in-law Dave Wiemken; his great grandchild Elliot Reiser; and his siblings, Herbert, Harold and Arlene.

He is survived by: his wife Janice Gilbert; his children, Mike Lanzer (Elizabeth), Jeff Lanzer (Carol) and Julie Wiemken; and his sister Lavon Lanzer. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Cru (Campus Crusade Ministry), CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice, or the Cherry St. Mission.
