It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vic Sonnenberg of Napoleon, Ohio, born in Holgate, Ohio, who passed away on August 10, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sonnenberg and Sophie Sonnenberg (Lange); his wife Frances Miller; his grandchildren, Roby and Blair Sonnenberg; his siblings, Hugo Sonnenberg (Esther), Hulda Hahn (Otto) and Regina Germann (Harold); and his sister-in-law Eloise Sonnenberg.
He is survived by: his children, Pastor Tim Sonnenberg (Diane), Vickie Andres (Tom) and Steve Sonnenberg (Karen); his grandchildren, Dusty Sonnenberg (Cheryl), Carey Sonnenberg (Naomi), Jill Brinke (Jeremiah), Ladd Sonnenberg (Sara) and Brittani Sonnenberg; and his brothers, Gilbert Sonnenberg (Dona) and Roger Sonnenberg. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
Due to the health concerns surrounding COVID-19, a private burial will take place at Hope Lutheran Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler, Genacross Lutheran Services, Napoleon, or CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice.
