He was predeceased by: his parents, MayJo Sterrett, Sr. (Gleason) and Roy Sterrett, Sr.; his stepfather Roy Prather; his grandparents, Charles Gleason and Martha Gleason Riggs; and his stepgrandfather Herschal Riggs.
He is survived by: his wife Barb (McMullen); his children, Maylynn Sterrett, Roy Sterrett, III, Austin Sterrett (Sophia Incorvaia) and Donald McMullen; his grandchildren, Hadi Hancock (Delanee McMullen) and Donald McMullen; his goddaughter Karri Luce; his siblings, Chuck Sterrett, Donald Browning, Jr. and Cheryl Griffith (Dennis); and his siblings-in-law, Tina Prather, Martha Luce and Tom Prather, Jr..
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home - West Sylvania Chapel (3655 King Rd, Toledo, OH 43617). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Donations in Roy's memory can be given to his son, Roy Sterrett, III, for the Hadi Hancock Education Fund.
