He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Franklin Mathers, Sr. and Annabelle Mathers (Whitcomb); his son Bradley Ronald Mathers; and his brother Vincent Mathers. He is survived by: his daughter Bethany Mathers; and his siblings, Carol Stover, Tom Mathers Jr., Glen Mathers, Sue Stinehart (Glen) and Sandy Proudfoot (Phil). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
