He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Bretz and Hilda Bretz (Engler). He is survived by: his wife Nan Moore; his children, Shannen Bretz (Annemarie) and Rachel Strang (Brett); his grandchildren, Emma, Betsy Bretz, Brady and Tyler Strang; and his siblings, Carolyn Wallner (Barry), Martin Bretz (Kathy), Myrl Bretz (Sheri), Cinda Bretz and Chris Bretz (Jackie Anderson).
Viewing was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sharon United Methodist Church (9016 Co Rd P, Napoleon, OH 43545).
