He is survived by: his children, Terry Schnitz of Napoleon and Gloria Myers (Robert) of Cecil, OH. He is also survived by two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren.

“My deepest sympathy to the family of Ralph Schnitz. Ralph or "Al" and my dad, Tom Garner were good friends,graduating from Decatur High School 1947. For years,my dad talked about Al Schnitz. He thought the world of him. Dad bought a 1929 model A car for $125 thanks to Al. When the dealer found out that Al persuaded dad to buy the car , he gave him a $25 referral. Al then gave dad the $25! What a true friend! Rick Garner”
