He was predeceased by: his parents, John Houck and Agnes Houck (Schwab); and his siblings, Helen Heidenscher, John, Robert, Donald, Jim and Richard Houck.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Houck (Rohrs) of Napoleon, OH; and his children, Connie Lynn Ruskey of Florida, OH and David Houck of Napoleon, OH.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
