She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Bechstein and Lavon Bechstein (Myers); her husband Harlan John Fry; and her sisters, Elizabeth Homer, Ruth Moyer and Virginia Krieger.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Fry (Beth), Cheryl Boose (David), Daniel Fry (Jodi) and Michele Meyer (Brett); her grandchildren, Jason Fry (Jean), Christine Fields (Thomas), Cindy Burton (John), Sandy Johnson (Jason), Christopher Boose (Alicia), Andrew Boose (Heather), Cassandra Decker (Nathan), Anna Balash (Kevin), Kevin Fry, Brittlyn Tyler, Steven Fry (Kasey Yost), Jameson Meyer of Joseph and Treg Meyer; her great grandchildren, Sophia, Milah Rose, Eliza, Allie, Casey, Sam, Dexter and Alena; and her siblings, Judith Elling (Robert) and Ronald Bechstein (Janet). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Illa's name are suggested to St. Augustine Catholic Church or St. Augustine Catholic School.
