He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Freppel and Rozella Freppel (Hoffman). He is survived by: his wife Charlene Ayers; his son Jacob; and his sisters, Carolyn Smith (Wayne) of Minnesota, Mary Sexton (Sam) of Florida, Renee Freppel of Ohio and Kathy Sonnenberg (Kevin) of Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Filling Home of Mercy or New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program.
