She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Shafer and Twila Shafer (Warner); her husband Herb; her siblings, James Shafer and Gloria Mae; and her son-in-law Keith Spiess.
She is survived by: her former husband Herbert Arps; her children, Bruce Arps (Vickie Snow-Arps), Dennis Arps (Barbara), Gary Arps (Jackie) and Connie McDonald (Tom); and her brother Terry Shafer (Sherri). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Henry County Humane Society.
