He is survived by: his parents, Timothy Gerken (Deborah) and Deborah Ellerbrock (Larry); his wife Emily Ohlrich; his daughter Cora; his brother Blake Gerken (Morgan); his stepsiblings, Erin Booth (Victor Williams), Noah Bowen (Lori) and Neidera LaForrest; and his grandfather Kenneth Harris (Elaine).

Memorial contributions may be made to the church or for Cora's education in care of, Emily Gerken.
