He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Ramey and Mildred Ramey (Greer); his wife Joanne Ramey (Barricklow); his daughters, Beverly Ramey and Tammy Conklin; and his sisters, Mary Smith, Gwinna Ramey, Vicki Von Deylen, Teresa Ramey and Brenda Richardson.
He is survived by: his children, David Ramey (Dawn), Rosemary Smith (Dwight) and Bobbi Frazier; his grandchildren, Haley Schwab (Ben), Stephanie Kelly (Ben), Melinda Shull (Mike), Kelsy Ramey (Robbie Owens), Jenelle Kokensparger (Ryan), Amberly Abbott (Charles), Cassandra Bedsole (Johnny), Nicole Elliott (Cody), Jennifer Frazier, Shane Newsom, Brendolyn Frazier and Ryan Frazier; and his brothers, Ted Ramey and Sam Ramey (Thelma). He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to Henry County Relay for Life.
