He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry C. Gerken and Ida Gerken (Rickenburg); and his brothers, Richard and Harold Gerken. He is survived by: his uncle Ernest; his aunt Erna E. Lange; his wife Lois Gerken (Freytag); his children, Gary, Kevin Gerken (Kelli), Napoleon, Elaine DeTray (Scott) and Brenda Guinn (Rick); his grandchildren, Christopher DeTray (Melissa), Jessica DeTray, Harley Guinn and Konner Gerken (Chelsea); his stepgranddaughter Kari Zachrich (Kyle); his great grandchildren, Riley and Rowan DeTray; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Julia and Landon Zachrich; and his sisters, Laura Durham and Anna Grimm.
