He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Scarlett and Tobitha Scarlett; and his brothers, Donald, Ronald, John and James Scarlett.

He is survived by: his wife Lynda; his children, Lissa James (Kirsten), Lori Scarlett, Matthew Scarlett (Miki) and Ryan Scarlett; his siblings, Ruth Hammersley, Doris Woolsey, Becky Scarlett and Paul Scarlett; and his grandchildren, Adam, Nathan, Kyle, Kelcie, Saya, Cedar, Asher, Zaina and Hassan.
