He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Shope, and Paul E. Shope, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Shope; his children, Jennifer Shope and Paul M. Shope; his grandchildren, Cameron, Ben and Ella; and his siblings, Shirley Muffet (Joe) and Tom Shope (Julie Jester).
