He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Dettling; his parents, William Dettling and Elsie Dettling; and his brothers, William, Jr., Richard and Eugene.
He is survived by: his daughter Julie Archer; his grandchildren, Shannon Archer (Jess) and Kevin Archer; his great grandchild Amelia; his siblings, Pat Neikamp (John), Maryjane Greenburg (Michael), Rosie Del-Nostra (Richard) and David Dettling; and his sisters-in-law, Sue and Joanne Dettling.
