He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Greentree and Mary Belle Greentree (Ellis); his stepfather Edward Althauser; and his brother Mac Greentree. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Nathanael, Sarah Gill, Vern IV, Carl and Mariann Woodruff; his brother Jay Greentree (Jean) of Rochester, MN; and his stepbrother Gerald Althauser of Kenton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
