He was predeceased by: his son Joel Goodwin; and his siblings, Edgar Goodwin, Don Goodwin, Truman Goodwin, Russell Goodwin and Sara Nicol.

He is survived by: his spouse Sharma G. Penhorwood; his children, David Goodwin (Kim) of Fairfield, Cindy Carson (Garey) of Hamilton, Andrew Goodwin (Loretta) of Hamilton, Jolene Goodwin of Mt, Victory Bosaw and Adam Bosaw of Hamilton; and his siblings, Ruth Goodwin, Sue Childers, Alice Meadows (Bryan), Lee Goodwin, John Goodwin, Jim Goodwin (Karla), Art Goodwin (Janet) and Steve Goodwin (Karen). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
