She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hogan and Ruth Hogan (Byrd); her siblings, Mary Hogan, Charles Hogan Jr., James Hogan, John Hogan, Stephen Hogan and Melanie Thompson; her nephew Chuck Hogan; and her granddaughter Stella Hogan.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Akers; and her children, Virginia Turner of Ohio, James Turner and Jason Hogan (Misty) of Ohio. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of many good friends.
