He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Carpenter and Alta Carpenter (Perrin); and his brothers, Zeke, Floyd and Lloyd Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Carpenter (Foster); his children, Rose Canterbury of Mount Vernon, OH, Kevin Carpenter of Howard, OH and Gregory Carpenter (Lisa) of Butler, OH; his grandchildren, Jason Carpenter (Cassie), Joseph Carpenter (Erica), Jeremy Carpenter (Taylor), Miranda Conkle (Joe), Michael Canterbury (Holly) and Kerra Carpenter; and his sister Barbara Nihiser (Bill) of Logan, OH. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Flowers Snyder Funeral Home (619 E High St, Mt Vernon, OH 43050). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
