With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Jean Haines of Mount Vernon, Ohio, born in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 80. As Patricia Jean departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Patricia Jean may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Patricia Jean leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond K. Haines, Sr.; and her brother Thomas Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Jean Shirley of Hermitage, Mary Young of Mt. Vernon, OH and Raymond K. Haines, Jr. (Patty) of Transfer; her son-in-law Jason Maitland of New Castle; and her siblings, Delores Johnson of Sharon and John "Jack" Johnson of Clark. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Rose Cemetery Chapel (779 Dutch Ln, Hermitage, PA 16148). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
