He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thornton and June Carolyn Myer (Eberhardt); his son Jon Edward Myer Jr.; and his brothers, George Thornton Myer II and James Myer.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley P. Myer (Jackson); his children, Tony Myer (Rebekkah) and Clarissa Dillinger (Trevor); his grandchildren, Marlee Holmes (Preston), Amelia Simpson (Nick), Brett Dillinger (Emma), Jackson Myer (Faith), Charlie Myer and Lucy Myer; his great grandchild Theo Holmes; and his brothers, David Myer and Fred Myer (Carmen). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
