John L. Carpenter Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John L. Carpenter of Mount Vernon, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 21, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John L. Carpenter to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Carpenter and Genola Carpenter Sr. (Huston); his daughter Carole Everhart; his stepson Joel Durbin; and his sister Jane Earles.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Carpenter (Crunkilton); his children, Cheryl Whitt (Barry) of Ashland, Scott Carpenter (Donna) of Westerville and Cathy Saylor (Don) of Coshocton; and his sister Thelma Moffett (Steve) of Lexington, SC.. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lasater Chapel (11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd, Mt Vernon, OH 43050). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
