We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2024, at the age of 85, Jean Barker of Mount Vernon, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldon Frye and Hazel Frye (Workman); her husband Terry Barker; her daughter Christina Wertz; her granddaughter Lori McKeever; and her brother Philip Frye.

She is survived by: her children, Timothy Ashcraft (Kelley) of Mount Vernon and Kathy Balcom (Jeff) of Mount Vernon; her stepchildren, Dennis Barker of Delaware and Terasa Hansen of Mansfield; her grandchildren, Jody Thompson (Kyle), Josh Balcom, Kyle Ashcraft (Patty), Kurt Ashcraft and Lindsay Hansen (Scott); her great grandchildren, Kaeden Ashcraft, James Thompson, Madison Thompson, Logan Thompson, Landon Hansen and Emilynn Hansen; and her brothers, Eldon Frye (Linda) of Howard, Thomas Frye (Diana) of Mount Vernon and James Frye (Paula) of Indiana. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
