He was predeceased by: his siblings, Edmond Jr., Alvin, Allen, Alice Breaux and Mary Matherne.
He is survived by: his children, Penny Cox (Wendell) and Kevin Matherne (Jessica); and his sisters, Ivy May Blanda and Deloris Gordon. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
