He is survived by: his siblings, Clara Voyce, Faye Volker, Doris Thompson, David Hackney and Jerry Hackney; his children, Jackie Sanners, Roy Hackney Jr., Vernon David Hackney and Denise Hackney; and his sister Rosa Gabriel. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren as well as several nephews.
