He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Sheppard; his parents, William Patrick Sheppard and Roxy Hensley; and his siblings, Sophie, Marie, Julie, Charlie, Fanny and Kathy.

He is survived by: his son David Sheppard; his granddaughter Jessica Jasper (Matthew); his great grandchild Autymn; and his half-siblings, William Hensley Jr. and Melissa Knott. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the American Heart Association.
