He was predeceased by: his parent Walter Puckett; his wife Peggy Jean Puckett (Helms); his grandson Joshua; and his siblings, Faye Howard and Ron "Pete" Puckett.

He is survived by: his parent Thelma Puckett (Jenkins); his children, Rebecca Puckett and Freddie Puckett, Jr. (Cindy); and his siblings, June Furrow, Marge Williamson, Shirley Puckett, Walt Puckett (Diane) and Larry Puckett. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great-granddaughters; many nieces and nephews.
