He is survived by: his parent Jean Lyons (Maggart); his wife Cheryl Finley (Phillips) of Mount Sterling, Ohio; his daughter Brooke Garner (Justin) of Alabama; his brother Sammy Finley of Atlanta, Georgia; and his granddaughters, Lacey Welch and Juree Garner.

“Charley was an amazing and very charismatic man. I was once married to Charley and am the mother of his precious daughter Brooke. Her heart is broken and no words can explain the hurt she is going through that she wasn't made aware that her Dad was sick or that he was in the hospital. The tears and hurt she's going through are understandable but the pain of not even being able to see him one last time or even attend his funeral are beyond explanation. He wouldn't have wanted it that way. RiP.”
