He is survived by: his wife Kathryn DeBlasis Aspenwall; his children, James (Amy) and Johanna Caplan (Brad); his grandchildren, Grant, Austin Aspenwall, Laurel and Sam Caplan; and his brother John Aspenwall (Ledra).
