Eiji Hashimoto Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eiji Hashimoto (Mount Healthy, Ohio), who passed away on January 14, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hashimoto; his children, Christine Merritt (Kirk), Ken Hashimoto (Allison Dubinski) and Erica Hashimoto; his grandchildren, Katherine, Elizabeth Merritt, Scarlette and Sabina Hashimoto; his daughter Naomi Hashimoto; and also Ralph Kirkpatrick.

Mr. Hashimoto was also recognized as a scholar of baroque music, and was twice awarded research grants by the Rockefeller Foundation for scholarly residencies in Bellagio, Italy.
